1. 1.Who we are

   Maitrymoon is an AI-powered Relationship Counsellor available on this website and on WhatsApp, run by Rishta Reset Private Limited, R-298, Lower Ground Floor, Greater Kailash 1, Block R, New Delhi, 110048. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Maitrymoon, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Maitrymoon, you agree to the practices described here.

2. 2.Information we collect

   • Account details — your name, phone number and/or email address, used to sign you in and identify your sessions.
   • Session content — the messages and voice notes you share with Maitrymoon during a session. These are deleted when the session closes (see below).
   • Opinions — the opinion Maitrymoon's AI generates for your session (and, in a Partner Session, the joint opinion). This is the only part of a session we save.
   • Sensitive information — your chats can involve your sexual life, health and mental health. You choose what to share. It is used only to provide your session and is deleted with your chat; because an opinion summarises your situation, it may also refer to these topics.
   • Optional profile — if you choose to fill in My Profile: name, age, gender, state and marital status. Every field is optional, stored encrypted, never shown to your partner, and you can clear it at any time.
   • Your consent choices — the age, privacy and (optional) marketing consents you give after you first log in.
   • Payment details — handled by our payment partner. We receive only a confirmation of the transaction; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
   • Technical data — basic device, browser and usage information needed to keep the service secure and working properly.
   • Feedback and enquiries — session ratings and feedback you give in the chat, and anything you email us.

3. 3.Your private chats

   Your conversations are the most sensitive thing you share with us, so we treat them that way:

   • Completely confidential. Your session is completely confidential, and no one on our team reads your chats.
   • Chats are deleted. Your messages, voice notes and session data are permanently deleted as soon as your session is closed, or after 24 hours of inactivity — whichever comes first.
   • Only the AI's opinion is saved. The one thing we keep from a session is the opinion Maitrymoon generated. It does not contain a transcript of your chat.
   • Partner Sessions stay separate. In a Partner Session, each partner speaks to Maitrymoon separately and neither of you ever sees the other's messages. Both partners receive the same joint opinion, which is based on what each of you shared.
   • Never sold, never used for advertising. We do not sell your conversations or use them to target ads.

4. 4.How we use your information

   • To provide your sessions and generate Maitrymoon's responses.
   • To manage your account, free sessions, plans, payments and referrals.
   • To respond to your enquiries and feedback.
   • To send you relationship tips and product updates — only if you opted in (see “Marketing communications” below).
   • To keep the service secure and prevent misuse or fraud.
   • To improve the product using aggregated, non-identifying usage data.
   • To improve Maitrymoon's AI (its rules, safeguards and instructions), we use the opinions generated — only if you give us your separate consent for this, and in a form that does not identify you. Saying no does not affect your use of Maitrymoon. Your chats are never used for this — they are deleted.
   • To meet our legal obligations.

5. 5.Marketing communications

   We will only send you marketing messages — such as relationship tips, offers and feature updates — if you allow us to, by ticking the optional marketing box on the consent form you see after logging in. It is unticked by default and is not needed to use Maitrymoon. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing support@maitrymoon.com, and we will stop.

6. 6.Service providers

   We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Maitrymoon — cloud hosting, WhatsApp for messaging, and Razorpay for payments.

   AI providers. To generate Maitrymoon's responses, your messages and voice notes are sent through OpenRouter, a US-based AI model router, to AI models from DeepSeek (our main model), MiniMax (a backup model) and Google Gemini (safety checks). This means your chats are processed outside India.

   These providers may process your information only to provide their service to us, under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. We do not permit them to use your conversations for their own purposes.

7. 7.Cookies

   We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to make the site work. To understand how the website is used, we count page visits with our own analytics, hosted on our own server: it sets no cookies, does not identify you, never sees your chats, and is not shared with advertisers. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

8. 8.Data retention

   Chats are deleted when your session is closed or after 24 hours of inactivity, as described above. Opinions generated by the AI are saved, and are used to improve the AI only with your separate consent and in a non-identifying form. Account, payment and transaction records are kept only for as long as your account is active or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting rules). If you delete your account, what we delete and what we keep is described under “Your rights”. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

9. 9.Security

   Your personal details are encrypted on our side. We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and regular security reviews to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant authorities of any breach where required by law.

10. 10.Your rights

    Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw your consent, or raise a grievance about how we handle it. To make a request, email us at support@maitrymoon.com. We will respond within the timelines required by law.

    Withdrawing consent. If you wish to withdraw your consent, please delete your account — from My Profile on our website, by sending “DELETE MY ACCOUNT” on WhatsApp, or by emailing us at support@maitrymoon.com. Deleting your account deletes your personal details (such as your name, number, profile and saved billing details), all your chats and the opinions Maitrymoon gave you. We keep records of your sessions and consents, and payment, invoice and tax records — linked only to a coded ID, not your name or number — because the law may require us to keep them (for example for tax, or if they are needed in legal proceedings). Joint opinions from Partner Sessions stay available to your partner.

11. 11.Grievance Officer / Data Protection Officer

    If you have a complaint or concern about how we handle your personal data, email our Grievance Officer / Data Protection Officer at support@maitrymoon.com.

12. 12.Age limit

    Maitrymoon is intended only for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the service, please contact us and we will delete their information.

13. 13.Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you inside the chat window — on our website or on WhatsApp.
